One activity that became a luxurious activity is tying our own shoes! Most of kids shoes comes with stripe or integrated lace which less burden for younger kids to tie their shoes or trip of it. 
But it means they miss the opportunity and the fun of it!  

Tying shoe laces requires strong fine motor skills including finger isolation, bilateral hand coordination, visual perceptual skills, hand-eye coordination and hand strength. This toy is very basic skill require by younger kids to develop their fine motor and motor coordination.
